Delete your ChatRoute account
You can delete your account yourself, in the mobile app or on the web. It is deleted as soon as you confirm, and it cannot be undone.
In the mobile app
- Open Settings.
- Under Account, tap Delete account.
- Read what is deleted, tap Delete my account, then confirm.
On the web, without the app
Sign in, open your profile, and choose Delete account at the bottom of the page. If you signed in more than a day ago you will be asked to sign in again first.
What is deleted
- Your name, email address, phone number, username and profile photo
- Your password, Google sign-in and two-factor settings
- Your memberships in organizations and any invitations waiting for you
- Your notifications and notification settings
- Every session and device signed in to the account, including push notification registrations
What is kept
- Messages you sent stay in the conversations they were sent to, because they are part of the other people's history and, in a support conversation, the organization's record of the help it gave. They show as from a deleted account, without your name.
- Posts and reactions you left on an organization's wall stay, shown the same way.
- The workspace's activity log keeps a record that an account was deleted and when. It holds no name or contact details.
If you can’t sign in
Write to [privacy contact email] from the email address on the account and ask for it to be deleted. We check the request comes from that address before deleting anything.
If you are the only admin of your workspace, make someone else an admin before you delete your account.
